I have been meaning to send this out for some weeks, yet one thing or another kept getting in the way.
I often talk about what it is to be a musician, and I find it rare when it is summarized so eloquently as James Clear did in his post from January 29, 2026.
If you want to read his thoughts on it, you can click below, but in summary, being a musician is an infinite game, and we do well to approach it as such. We want to avoid looking at it as if it's a finite game.
